STS Leeuwin II provides anyone 14+ with the opportunity to learn to sail Australia’s largest ocean-going sail training ship, while experiencing emotional, physical and mental challenges, yet at the same time having fun and making new friends.  The voyages are suitable for anyone: no previous sailing experience is required, just a willingness for adventure and being ready to have the time of your life!

Youth Explorer Voyage Program

Youth Explorer Voyages are designed for young people aged between 14 and 25 but anyone over 25 with a sense of adventure can apply.  A Youth Explorer Voyage takes you onto the Indian Ocean for six nights (some voyages are five nights), together with upto 40 trainees and 15 crew. You will be involved in all ship operations from steering the ship, setting and furling the sails, climbing the mast, cleaning the ship and standing watch through the night. Interested? Ultimate Challenge

Individuals meet new friends, learn new skills and increase self confidence on this exciting 5-day adventure.  In 2015 the Ultimate Challenge will take place from 11-15 November. You will find more information on the Ultimate Challenge here.

Leeuwin Scholarship Program
